Position Summary

The New Brunswick Site Engagement Team at Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a creative intern to aid in the historical research and documentation efforts to celebrate the site’s 120th anniversary. This role involves developing multimedia presentations and interactive materials, collaborating with the BMS archivist, and conducting research to highlight the site’s historical impact. The intern will contribute to creating a lasting legacy through various engaging mediums and detailed historical documentation.

Start/End Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Multimedia Presentations that feature historical material and key milestones of the New Brunswick site, encapsulating its rich heritage and evolution.

  • Design interactive timelines, maps, and infographics to showcase the New Brunswick site’s development and its significant role within the community and BMS history.

  • Investigate and document the site’s contributions to the local economy, advancements in healthcare, and overall community well-being throughout its history.

  • Partner with the BMS teams to highlight the site’s involvement in community initiatives and social programs over the decades, emphasizing its positive societal impact.

  • Help draft a comprehensive historical commemorative booklet, report, or webpage showcasing the site’s founding, growth, and contributions to BMS and the surrounding community.

  • Aid in the creation of a digital archive or repository for historical records, photos, and key documents to ensure the preservation and accessibility of the site’s history for future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in History, Communications, Library and Informational Science or a related field with a keen interest in historical research and storytelling.

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, as well as the semester following the assignment with a 3.0+ GPA

  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual with the ability to work in a project team structure.

  • Must be eligible to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from June 2 – August 8, 2025 for a hybrid working environment consisting of 50% onsite at the BMS New Brunswick site.

  • Strong research and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in creating engaging and informative content.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and other digital tools is a plus.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate historical information into compelling multimedia and interactive formats.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

  • Previous experience in historical research or content creation is beneficial but not required.

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.  Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
