Position Responsibilities:
- Operate single-spindle screw machines:
- Maintain proper fluid levels for cutting oils and hydraulic fluid.
- Load bar stock.
- Perform basic operation of Single Spindle Screw Machines, such as powering the machine on and off.
- Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
- Perform visual inspections.
- Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin.
- Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation including the Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special Instructions (if applicable).
- Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with Remke Quality standards.
- Complete applicable Work Order and Quality documentation and daily production reports as required.
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift.
- Know, understand, and comply with Remke Quality Policy and its objectives.
- Know, understand, and comply with all Remke Safety Rules and guidelines.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
- Perform other duties assigned by Machine Shop Supervisor.
Quality Position Requirements:
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Read and write English.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Read and understand all documentation including Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special Instructions.
- Identify and use all required Quality inspection tools including gauges, calipers, and other fixtures

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls and talk and hear.
BODY SENSES: Must have command of all five senses – sight, hearing, touch, perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific vision abilities required include close vision depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
STRENGTH: Must have the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with regularity.
