The Position
Intern Simulation Engineer
Purpose of the role

We work with Agile methodologies and in cross site multidisciplinary teams.
Main responsibilities:

Participate and contribute in the ideation, and development of complex algorithms, simulation and optimization models

Execute scenarios and analyze the results.

Create, maintain and troubleshoot scenarios

Support in the development of tools, simulation and optimization models

Provide work status and issue notification within the current status of the tasks
How would your day to day look like?
As a new intern in the Solution Workflow Simulation subchapter, your day will involve collaborating closely with simulation engineers and various development teams across the company.
You'll be involved in internal initiatives and also contribute to better shape our contribution to product design.
This will bring you the opportunity to interact with different stakeholders such as product managers, definition teams, architects, developers, data scientists, and integration specialists. Expect to work on a variety of tasks, including gathering requirements, planning, development, research, and testing. You'll also dive into specific areas of our field, like data analysis, modeling, conducting simulations, and communicating insights effectively.

To be successful in this role you bring:

Software or Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics or statistics

Knowledge in Operations Research disciplines (simulation, optimization)

Knowledge of Object-oriented programming languages such as c#, or python

Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and data manipulation techniques

Knowledge of supply chain and or production systems

Fluent in English

Willingness to learn

Takes responsibility for tasks and technical concepts
