OVERVIEW:
Alberta Blue Cross® has an immediate opportunity for a System Analyst to join our team of skilled and energetic individuals who are striving to improve collaboration within Alberta Blue Cross® . This is an exciting career opportunity that is a mix of day-to-day end user support, helping drive organizational adoption of our new collaboration platform and tools, and helping to plan our approach to organizational collaboration initiatives.
As a SharePoint System Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering immediate impact of SharePoint Online and contributing to related Microsoft Teams and OneDrive initiatives while laying the groundwork for the adoption of tools like Viva, Whiteboard, Loop, and other collaboration technologies. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Vendors to design and maintain solutions that meet organizational goals, enhance user experiences, and drive digital transformation. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
SharePoint Online Administration:
- Maintain SharePoint Online architecture, including site collections, libraries, metadata, and permissions.
- Implement modern SharePoint features such as hubs, lists, and document libraries.
- Potentially, customizing SharePoint Online leveraging master page development, site UX design, and workflow enablement.
- Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to understand, design, build and test business requested changes. Provide time estimates for task completion and ensure solution meets organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot, assess root cause, recommend changes, and resolve issues.
- Follow Systems Development Life Cycle best practices and apply quality control standards.
- Become a knowledge expert of the application environment, interdependencies, and integrations with other systems.
- Provides on-call support on an as needed basis.
Collaboration Tool Enablement:
- Promote and support the adoption of collaboration tools like Teams, Viva, Planner, Loop, and Whiteboard.
- Design and implement workflows and automation using Power Automate.
- Provide end-user training and support to drive adoption and optimize usage.
Modern Workplace Innovation:
- Evaluate and recommend new M365 collaboration features, apps, and tools to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Lead initiatives to improve workplace efficiency using M365 collaboration apps and services.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues on M365 collaboration tool best practices.
- Develop documentation for M365 collaboration tool configurations, governance policies, and workflows.
Microsoft 365 Collaboration Tool Management:
- Assist with administering, configuring, and optimizing M365 collaboration applications, including but not limited to SharePoint Online, Teams, Planner, Forms, Whiteboard, Loop, Viva, and Lists.
- Advise on governance and compliance across M365 collaboration services.
- Manage integrations between M365 collaboration tools and other third-party systems.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise in M365 Tools:
- Proficiency with SharePoint Online is necessary. Familiarity with other tools is an asset Teams, OneDrive, Viva, Planner, Forms, Loop, Whiteboard, and Lists.
- Strong understanding of M365 collaboration tool security and compliance, including Azure AD integration and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Development Skills:
- Familiarity with scripting and development using PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, and JSON considered an asset.
- Familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular for modern UI/UX customization considered an asset.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth, and Microsoft Graph considered an asset.
Azure and Cloud Experience:
- Exposure to Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and other cloud-based technologies.
- Knowledge of Azure AD, Single Sign-On (SSO), and identity management.
Collaboration and Design:
- Expertise in designing modern intranet and collaboration environments.
- Strong skills in information architecture, metadata management, and search optimization.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
- A university degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with SharePoint online, other M365 tools and modern workplace technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver digital transformation projects leveraging M365 collaboration tool capabilities.
- Hands on experience with SharePoint Online projects and administration.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with complex IT systems.
- Experience working in agile environments is an asset.
- Certifications in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Azure are an asset.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- SharePoint Online management experience and best practices.
- M365 tools collaboration (Teams, Planner, Viva, Forms, Loop, Whiteboard, Lists, and other such tools).
- SharePoint Architecture and Governance.
- Automation and Workflow Design using Power Automate and Graph API.
- UI/UX Design and Customization.
