About This Role:

Crusoe Cloud is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Solutions Engineering to lead our Solutions Engineering team, playing a critical role in enabling customers to deploy AI workloads seamlessly, cost-effectively, and at scale. You will be at the forefront of driving technical engagements across pre-sales and post-sales efforts, working closely with our largest and most strategic customers to ensure their success on Crusoe. This role involves leading a high-performing team of technical experts, acting as trusted advisors, and ensuring customers experience the full value of Crusoe’s sustainably powered AI infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams, aligning efforts to build best-in-class solutions for AI/ML workloads. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow an essential vertical from the ground up, influencing both customer success and Crusoe’s growth strategy.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of domain experts who provide technical guidance and support to customers across all stages of their journey, acting as trusted advisors in deploying AI workloads on Crusoe.

  • Serve as the Primary Technical SME: Act as a technical subject matter expert for all customer-facing engagements, ensuring AI workloads are deployed in the most secure, scalable, and efficient way possible.

  • Drive Customer Success: Partner with customers to deeply understand their needs and challenges, guiding them through the deployment lifecycle with best practices, reusable templates, and innovative solutions to help them achieve their goals.

  • Support Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Efforts: Work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to support customer PoCs, provide technical demonstrations, and ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to full deployment.

  • Optimize Workloads and Solutions: Lead efforts to benchmark, validate, and optimize AI workloads for maximum performance, ensuring that customers are running the most efficient solutions possible.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to align technical strategies with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of customer feedback into the product roadmap and a unified approach to customer success.

  • Evangelize Crusoe Cloud Solutions: Represent Crusoe at industry events, lead customer-facing presentations and workshops, and contribute to the development of technical content such as blogs, case studies, and white papers.

  • Champion Customer Needs: Act as the voice of the customer, advocating their technical requirements internally and influencing Crusoe’s product direction to meet market demands.

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • Have a technical degree (computer science, math, engineering) or equivalent work experience.

  • Have 8+ years of experience architecting, building, or operating cloud-based applications or infrastructures, with a strong focus on AI/ML workloads, high-performance computing (HPC), or graphics applications.

  • Have experience leading or managing technical teams, with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.

  • Possess deep expertise in cloud technologies and modern infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.

  • Hold a professional cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect) or equivalent.

  • Have a customer-first mindset, with a passion for driving customer success through technical solutions and strategic advisory.

  • Excel in a cross-functional environment, able to collaborate across Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver cohesive solutions.

  • Can communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where you can make a meaningful contribution to the success of both customers and the company.

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $280,000 - $350,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants' knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
