As the Senior/Principal Product Manager for the Accounts Identity team, you will build out the strategy, roadmap, and features to better understand our users and build out our user identity model. You will work with a team of engineers, designers, and data scientists to improve the overall account & identity experience, helping create a more safe and secure platform.
Much of your work will be focused on building ML models to detect and challenge users with suspicious attributes and behaviors. This can include detecting bot accounts, users who are cheating on the platform, or banned users coming back with alternate accounts. In addition, you will build the corresponding user experience to challenge users and collect additional identity signals. You will also work closely with other teams across Roblox to protect their features from suspicious actors.
The role reports to Director of PM, Safety in San Mateo, CA.
You Will:
- Prepare and manage product requirements from conception to launch
- Work closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and product owners to drive the planning and execution of complex product requirements
- Balance input from a wide variety of internal stakeholders and partners with potentially competing priorities and timelines
- Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate cross-team initiatives as well as blocking issues

You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience working on projects related to identity, user data, privacy
- A self-starter, with 7+ years of experience in product management, in which you managed software projects that cut across multiple stakeholders and organizations
- An effective communicator, with strong listening, verbal, and written skills
- Dynamic and flexible, who creates opportunity out of uncertainty and ambiguity (e.g. changing requirements or incomplete data)
- A problem solver, who approaches challenges with a logical and systematic framework
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$318,090—$368,230 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
