Role Description and Expectation
Valued team member working in the advertising, design, and communications space with an emphasis on global health clients and brands. The Visual Design Pleno (Studio) is key member our São Paulo -based design studio, and part of a global team (teammates in New York, California, London, and India). The São Paulo design group will be focused on executing established designs across a broad range of tactics for US and global brands primarily in the health space. This group will be connected to and working with teams primarily based in the United States. As the Visual Design Pleno (Studio) in our São Paulo office, your role is multifaceted. You will support the Senior Visual Designer (Studio Lead) in driving the design output of the Sao Paolo group (graphic design, information, and content design); help create and maintain efficient and effective work practices; establish and uphold best practices for creating and maintaining design systems, and act as collaborative partner to creative brand-leads and cross-functional team members.
What you will do:

  • Work with graphic designers, art directors, and assistants to support visual design needs of global health brands
  • Contribute to visual design excellence according to established brand guidelines and standards
  • Execute a wide variety of tactics which require visual design excellence according to established brand guidelines
  • Help manages, mentor, and direct team of assistants to ensure the delivery of high quality visual design work, good creative culture, and efficient operation
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining an efficient visual design work flow with strong operational team habits
  • Create within established brand guidelines and health industry regulations to update existing pieces and create new ones based on provided manuscripts
  • Learn healthcare design regulations and guide team in their application
  • Help lead team to work within established brand guidelines and health industry regulations to update existing pieces and create new ones based on provided manuscripts
  • Help lead design and formatting of PowerPoint presentations, create animations, create templates
  • Help lead design of illustrations, charts, infographics for educational and promotional purposes
  • Help lead and production of event materials, both digital and print, including signage, brochures, and web pages
  • Help lead of new web pages and follow standards of HTML, that include images, logos, usability and accessibility
  • Help ensure files are properly prepared for final release across a variety of mediums including print production, mechanical builds, file structure, and other related issues
  • Own the final steps of print and digital layout design and delivery
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  • Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos and other artwork
  • Update existing files and layouts to incorporate change
  • Helps set priorities and manages workloads so that assignments are completed within agreed upon time frames

  • Shares experience and knowledge of the industry

What you will bring:

  • Must demonstrate strong art direction and graphic design skills across a variety of mediums
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written English communication skill.
  • Strong typographic and layout skills
  • Ability to design across a broad range of mediums including print, print sales collateral (brochures, fliers), OOH (poster, signage, etc), power point, digital/interactive (website, social, banner ads), digital sales materials (interactive PDFs, Veeva), video graphic elements, email
  • Design and information into coherent, high impact communications while adhering to established brand guidelines
  • Skilled working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Veeva, Power Point
  • Managerial and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of latest Web and graphic design trends and tools
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work well within a team setting
  • Interest in incorporating AI tools into work
  • Advertising and marketing school or coursework
  • Art school or coursework
  • Related areas study
  • 5+ years graphic design, studio or related work experience
