What You'll Do
Epic is looking for a passionate Senior UX Designer to join our LEGO Fortnite UXUI team. In this position, you will have a role in designing system-of-systems features and UI screens by generating wireframes, documentation, and prototypes. You will then work with game designers, product managers, UI artists, tech UI designers, and engineers to ship these features to millions of players.
In this role, you will
- Work with game designers and product managers to translate goals and constraints into compelling user-facing features
- Produce documentation for competitive analyses, information architecture, content strategy, user stories, journey mapping, and accessibility standards
- Create Figma and/or UE wireframes and interactive prototypes and produce and upkeep documentation that clearly conveys ideas
- Present and pitch designs to stakeholders and Epic leadership and work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with UI Artists, Tech UI Designers, Engineers, and UX researchers to develop features
- Collaborate across multiple teams within Fortnite to create consistency and resolve design discrepancies
- Build flexible design systems that enhance our ability to design more efficiently and consistently
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of experience working collaboratively to design features and complex UX systems through to completion across multiple platforms (Mobile, PC, Consoles)
- 7+ years of experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and at least 5+ years of experience presenting to other team members and stakeholders
- Skilled with Figma, the Adobe Suite, and prototyping software
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions with strong visual direction and interaction design
- Passion for making and playing games and a strong sense of player empathy
- You are a proactive individual who naturally leans into owning outcomes, and are able to deal with ambiguity well and quickly adapt to changes of plan
