Our founding team is composed of world-leading AI researchers, formerly of Google DeepMind. Between the founders, they have 4 PhDs, degrees from Harvard, Oxford, Mila, and Edinburgh, and industry experience at DeepMind, Google, Nvidia, Dropbox, Yext, and more.

Role Description
From day one, you will be making fundamental contributions to our growing suite of AI applications.
Join our dynamic team as a UI/UX engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user interactions here at Udio. You will have access to cutting-edge tools and technologies, allowing you to explore bold ideas and push the envelope of design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, from developers to product managers, ensuring that your vision is seamlessly brought to life. We are looking for a very experience front end engineer that is hybrid designer too.

That’s the kind of innovative project you’ll be diving into—where your code will directly shape the future of music creation and consumption.
We are hiring for both junior and senior level developers.
Core Technical Competencies
The following competencies suggest you'll be a good candidate for this role. You don't need to meet all the criteria below, but the more you meet the better!
- Industry experience building front end web and/or mobile applications, especially consumer apps
- Strong ability to create modern, performant, scalable web/mobile apps from scratch
- Implementing best practices for deploying production systems on AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers
- Extensive experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries, tooling, and frameworks (e.g. React, React Native, Next.js)
- Extensive experience in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Experience mentoring and managing junior engineers (for a senior level role)
- [Bonus] Launch of an app to the Apple and/or Google app stores. Even better if it gained significant traction!
- [Bonus] Experience with animation libraries (web or mobile)

This role is eligible for a compensation package of base salary, equity, and benefits. The starting base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $220,000. Actual salary may vary based on level, work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process.
