JOB DESCRIPTION:
How would you like to join our Test Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer and develop test software for testing products that support military and commercial aircraft and ground vehicles? As a member of our Test Engineering unit, you will join a diverse and cross-functional group of professionals that are responsible for all aspects of test systems development including mechanical, electrical, software and fabrication. With our team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and develop your skills in a fast paced and exiting environment for a broad range of test systems from simple LRU testers to very large and complex systems integration labs.
We are looking for a Software Engineer with test equipment software design experience to add to our team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop software for test systems to support products for some of the world's most advanced military and commercial aircraft and ground vehicles.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent and a minimum of six (6) years work experience; or a Master's Degree and three (3) years experience.
  • Excellent integration, troubleshooting, and debug skills.
  • Experience working with avionic interfaces.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficient in C++
  • Experience creating application software for Windows operating systems
  • Experience with visual development environments such as Microsoft Visual C++ and Builder C++
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience with GUI (graphical user interface) design
  • Experience writing software for embedded real-time systems (VxWorks)
  • Experience creating real-time applications using RTX64 (real-time extension for Windows)
  • Familiarity with the NI PXI architecture
  • Familiarity with PCIe system buses
  • Experience working with OEM provided APIs to control hardware
  • Familiarity with serial interface programming (i.e. 1553, ARINC429, RS485, CAN)
  • Working knowledge of common test equipment interfaces (i.e. relays, discrete I/O, analog I/O, VDTs, GPIB)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with serial communication busses (1553, ARINC-429, CAN, RS-232/422/485, TTP, Ethernet)
  • Experience with the development of test equipment software for engine controls, flight controls, and weapon controls computers.
  • Experience with BAE Systems CsGTI, rtGTI and IDS test software.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
