Job Description

If you want to work on challenging projects and be part of an experienced team, we have a position that suits you. The drafting technician collaborates with engineers to produce plans and diagrams and perform certain basic calculations. The person sought for this position must hold a relevant vocational training diploma and be familiar with drawing software. You will be able to benefit from the hybrid work policy and your home office may be located through one of our CIMA+ offices in Quebec.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in designing plans and specifications in the field of building telecommunications
  • Perform quantity calculations
  • Produce interconnection diagrams for various equipment according to the engineer's instructions
  • Ensure site supervision for work relating to telecommunications, on an ad hoc basis or over short periods

Qualifications

  • DEP or DEC in computer-aided design (CAD) or equivalent training
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building design — telecommunications or electricity
  • Practical knowledge of REVIT software and AutoCAD software
  • Ability to work in a team and attention to detail
  • Fluency in spoken and written French is a must
