Senior Technology Project Manager

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and architects, along with business and technical stakeholders, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
What are we working on?
- The Enterprise Technology EMO supports technology projects across CSC including application services, enterprise security, infrastructure, cloud services, reliability, and application development.
- Enterprise Technology currently have a significant portfolio of transformational work supporting our ongoing integration of CSC and ITG.
- The EMO team are supporting a wide range of these transformational projects such as Microsoft platform consolidation, office relocations and refits, modernization of our user endpoint estate, and standardization of processes and procedures.
- The EMO is also actively revising its internal processes to support our global teams.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
- Define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, constraints, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment with project objectives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, technology team leads, and business teams, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to project team members.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress against milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas of improvement and share lessons learned.
- Track all risks and constraints and ensure mitigation plans align with the project schedule.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and accountability.
- Allocate resources effectively, balancing team workload and project priorities.
- Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and retrospectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other external partners.
Process Improvement
- Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Implement best practices in agile and/or waterfall project management, depending on project requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the technology or software development industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with Microsoft Platforms Integration projects including tenant-to-tenant migrations, O365 consolidations, application authentication across tenants, and data migration.
- Experience with ServiceDesk application implementations, decommissions, and consolidations.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as ServiceNow, Smartsheet, VersionOne, MS Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with risk management and change management processes.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster, or other relevant project management certifications.
