Senior Technology Liaison II
Location: NYC and Bridgewater NJ (hybrid). Also open to virtual within commutable distance of these offices: Tampa FL, Warwick RI, West Des Moines IA, Bloomfield CT and Cary NC

MetLife is seeking a Senior Technology Liaison II to join our Retirement and Income Solutions, Business Solutions team. This role will have significant interactions with business partners, RIS partners and technology teams. In this role, you will be responsible for multiple activities related to applying and enhancing the SAFe Agile framework. This requires applying innovative thinking and leading or participating in Agile teams, including conducting analysis and assisting with preparation of Features, User Stories, Test Cases and Acceptance Criteria. You will also work closely with Product and Operations leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Product Managers and Solution Engineers to support Program Increment (PI) sessions, daily huddles and key Agile ceremonies, along with cross-ART collaboration sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple assignments, be organized and efficient while working under minimal supervision
• Lead and motivate project team members that are no t direct reports
• Partner closely with the Product Team to evaluate the existing solutions as well as participate in the creative process for future new product/process development initiatives
• Pivot as business needs change & strategic priorities and projects are realigned
• Participate in scrum teams in moderate complexity workstreams, including preparation of Features, User Stories, Test Cases and Acceptance Criteria and operational readiness.
• Participate in daily standups, iteration reviews and iteration planning ceremonies to ensure full team engagement.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner, RTE, Scrum Master and Product Manager to support short and long-term release planning, while maintaining a healthy team backlog ready for execution.
• Adhere to audit/compliance requirements for execution
• Contribute to and oversee the successful implementation of all Operational Readiness phases of the process including preparation of communication plan, process documentation, training material, test plans and value-stream mapping
• Escalate issues and propose solutions in a timely fashion.
• Assist business teams with defining and ascribing value and prioritization
• Build critical business relationships and become champion for the business, representing their interest during agile processes.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment - with strong knowledge of Agile principles, concepts, and methodology.
- Experience with reading and interpreting Group Annuity Contracts.
- High Level understanding of Annuity Conversion Factor Tables and Calculations
- Advanced presentation, influencing, facilitation and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable discussing business functions, operations, strategies, and objectives.
- Ability to think critically and strategically - using data to drive decision making.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and Visio or similar/equivalent tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with agile tools (Azure, Target Process).
- Experience with development and measurement of OKRs (Objective, Key Results)
- Experience in working with Request for Proposal (RSP)
- Experience in agile reporting metrics
- Experience with Pensions and/or Annuities products
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
The salary range for applicants for this position is $105,000-140,000.
