As the Hagerty Valuation Tools Senior Technical Product Manager, you will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that delivers innovation in features, usability and product performance, working directly with in-house design and offshore engineering teams. You must be passionate about identifying consumer-facing problems and building impactful solutions. As a highly experienced B2C Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be the voice of the customer. This role requires a leader who moves fast, has an entrepreneurial spirit, possesses a natural curiosity, sharp analytical skills, and can break down and solve complex problems. You will be expected to operate both strategically and tactically: thinking big to drive new opportunities, diving deep into the data to uncover customer insights, and working backwards from the customer.

Hagerty Valuation Tools is designed to help automotive enthusiasts make smarter buying and selling decisions for the cars they love, and the product is one of many that the Hagerty Customer Experience Technology (CXT) team creates. Our team is made up of motivated, customer-obsessed, forward-thinkers that look at everything in terms of experiences rather than transactions. The CXT team delivers end-to-end online experiences across a range of products and services, including vehicle insurance quoting, purchasing, and management, as well as Hagerty's online auction marketplace, Driver's Club, and Media/Entertainment offerings. What you’ll do
- Deliver product experiences that delight our customers and demonstrate meaningful impact and results on growth acceleration by defining success metrics, analyzing data for insights, prioritizing what to build, and coordinating with partner teams to align efforts to business strategies and trade-offs
- Communicate and collaborate by articulating the “why” and “what” customer problem to solve, working with others, and balancing their point of view with solicited input of others
- Drive product development from ideation to launch by identifying and addressing customer pain points, defining a compelling product vision, and leveraging innovative technology solutions to create tangible, shippable products that deliver measurable value to customers
- Inform product strategy by actively gathering and analyzing customer feedback, monitoring competitors, and collaborating with design and engineering to ensure products meet customer needs and stay up to date with industry trends
- Create well-structured strategy documents and product briefs that effectively communicate customer needs and pain points, align with company goals, evaluate the current state of products or features, present a clear vision for the future direction, and break down the plan into iterative releases with defined next steps, dependencies, and decision points
- Define and prioritize product requirements and features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Mobilize a team of an in-house designer and contracted engineers to do their best work by providing clear direction, handling dependencies, removing roadblocks and applying effective operating rhythms

- Extensive experience in end-to-end B2C product management, at a combination of large companies and startups, with a proven track record of launching successful digital products
- Strong experience in delivering end-to-end digital products, from defining product vision and strategy to launching and iterating products, with a proven track record of successfully bringing products to market
- Strong proficiency in creating comprehensive product strategies, developing detailed roadmaps, and crafting user stories that effectively communicate product requirements to cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience building data-rich products or experiences, particularly with analytics dashboards and data visualizations that are easy for customers to interpret and gain insights from, telling a clear story that enhances their decision-making journey.
- Utilize effective frameworks for resolving trade-offs and prioritizing initiatives, leveraging strong research and analytical skills to make informed decisions. Implements time-boxed deliberation processes to ensure timely decision-making and facilitate structured, productive discussions among team members
- Demonstrates a keen eye for product design, fluency in data analysis, and technical proficiency, while also possessing a voracious appetite for learning
- Transforms ambiguity into execution by analyzing trends and determining scalable solutions. Skillfully balance strategic and tactical approaches to solve customer problems and achieve business goals, utilizing appropriate tools and tactics as needed
- Balances strategic priorities, business goals, customer needs, technical feasibility, and time to market to define impactful product solutions; thinks strategically and executes methodically
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including precise and effective cross-team communications, the ability to simplify complex topics, and comfort presenting at all levels of the organization and with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive product decisions
- Organization skills that show you are process-oriented and have high attention to detail
- Strong owner mentality and experience operating independently
- Cultivates strong working relationships that drive collaboration across technical, design, and business teams
- Familiarity of public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable
