The Role
As a Senior Technical Curriculum Developer, you will create and improve cloud engineering training content for customers, working with engineering and product teams. Responsibilities include developing courses, hands-on labs, and mentoring staff in cloud engineering best practices.
Summary Generated by Built In

As a Senior Technical Curriculum Developer, you will join our Customer Education & Training team to deliver exceptional cloud engineering learning content to our customers, including the Datadog Learning Center, workshops, and certifications. You will work closely with both our engineering and product teams. You will be hands-on with the cloud technologies Datadog monitors. What You'll Do:

  • Partner with our cloud engineering and product teams to produce engaging high quality training courses and content for Datadog's customer and partner curriculums
  • Collaborate with other team members to evaluate customer training requirements. Turn those requirements into a roadmap with clearly scoped courses and well defined learning paths
  • Create high quality courses that can be delivered both as self paced online programs or instructor-led training
  • Develop supplemental and supporting courseware and documentation, including workshops, hands-on labs, and webinars
  • Create, maintain, and improve the technical systems and environments used in hands-on labs (using the Instruqt hands-on lab platform)
  • Mentor existing staff in cloud engineering best practices, instructional design insights, and technical collaboration

Who You Are:

  • You are an experienced technical curriculum developer, software developer, or devops professional with five or more years of experience building online learning curriculum, hands-on labs, and instructor-led training material for a cloud engineering and software developer audience
  • You have hands-on experience or specialized knowledge in building learning content for devops and software development professionals in the cloud (one or more of Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, service mesh, etc.)
  • You are comfortable with at least one programming language (Python, Java, any .NET language, Go, JavaScript)
  • You enjoy transforming dry technical topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials
  • You have experience and interest in improving training operations (design, efficiency and functionality of the Learning Center and internal tooling)

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
