Overview
Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join our Digital Relationship Management team within our Property & Casualty Information Technology group. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of our Cincinnati, OH headquarters.
This is a unique role that will lead the onboarding and support of our API consumers. Responsibilities also include validating and understanding API functionality by partnering with business units, API product teams, and technology stakeholders, and various organizations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Leads the formulation and definition of scope and objectives for API integrations through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable API Product offering, business solutions, and business requirements:

Effectively communicates current API product offerings and aligns what’s available to meet business objectives.

Formulates integration/project plans and schedules and communicates status to stakeholders

Contributes to test plan creation and perform tests to ensure API integrations meets business objectives

Assists in preparing analysis for production support of integrations and perform production support tasks as needed.

Develops and maintains knowledge of customer's business and their partners’ systems, and inventory of APIs.

Contributes toward design standards and performs validation to ensure API capabilities and corresponding documentation are both effective, efficient, and easy to use.

Makes recommendations for business process improvements with a thorough understanding of business and technical problems and solutions as they relate to the technology needs.

Acts as a liaison between business, their external partners and IT.

Updates process and service documentation; learns new tools.

Assists with managing and tracking aspects of API demand and delivery across multiple teams and multi-phased project and product dependencies.

Provides mentoring, training, and feedback to resources on the team.

Qualifications

5 to 7 years of related experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.

Experience or basic understanding of APIs and web services and related tools.

Experience with structured and hierarchical datasets (i.e. JSON, XML, etc.)

Experience with project management and PM tools, a plus.

Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management tools, a plus.
