Q2 is seeking a Tax Accountant that will be involved in a broad range of global taxation areas providing service to the Q2 Global Tax department from India. The Tax department at Q2 offers a hard-to-find dynamic work environment that welcomes innovative ideas, rewards hard work and commitment, exposes its members to growth opportunities, and encourages evolution of individuals, methodologies, processes, and systems. This position will report to the Director, Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tax Activities:

  • Work with the tax consultants on business income tax returns, indirect tax returns, and tax audits related to Q2's subsidiary in India.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Indian direct and indirect tax
  • Liaising with the Government or tax departments and other regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare tax statements and assist with financial statements and others required statements at required intervals.
  • Prepare TDS schedules and co-ordinate with consultants for return filings.
  • Prepare GST schedules, co-ordinate with tax consultants for return filings, audits, refund work related to GST.
  • Prepare tax provision support schedules and estimated tax payments
  • Ensure the company compliance with all tax filings and reporting
  • Co-ordinate outsourced tax preparation work.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations
  • Keep up to-date with tax law changes, filing deadlines and processes.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations.
  • Exposure to global indirect taxes like GST, GRT, VAT, etc.
  • Exposure to transfer pricing requirements and compliances.
  • Ability to research complex issues and communicate findings


Key Skills/Abilities:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in IT/ITES Company with exposure to Global Operations
  • Should be strong in MS Office and exposure to global ERP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, transition to new roles, and meet changing deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
