Role: Senior Level 2 Linux Engineer
Experience Range - 4 to 7 Years
Must have Skills - Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 2 Linux Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux systems, with the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex environments. While expertise in Windows systems is optional, it will be considered a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and servers.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the high availability of infrastructure.
- Manage and support virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and network problems.
- Implement and manage security measures for Linux systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with the peer Infra & Apps team to support and enhance existing systems and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Linux systems.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Optional Skills
- Experience with Windows Server administration and support.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
