SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Responsible for creating and defining systems requirements including design, development, test methodologies, validations, risk analysis, documentation, system specification and input/output process improvements. Plan, design and develop integrated set of standards, sub-standards, and assemblies needed for the management of systems over lifecycles. Analyze system requirements, user needs, system design, and coordinate system evaluation activities. Lead technical discussion for system level design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. Provide system level technical support in developing manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and potential engineering solutions. Monitor system level health of the product and identifies potential issues. Serve as technical system lead in documenting system requirements by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests, etc. Utilize methods determined by approved procedures and standards. Responsible for conducting special studies or experiments to improve systems engineering practices, system quality, and define new components, products and processes. Design and execute experiments utilizing DOE (Design of Experiments) as appropriate. Apply principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance. Lead complex system and risk analysis, system level concept creation, evaluation and innovation. Perform system analysis, model-based system engineering and system architecture. Utilize tools and applications including: Engineering Design software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD); Statistical Analysis Software (Minitab, SAS, and/or JMP); Design Simulation software (MATLAB, PSpice, and/or LabVIEW); Issue Tracking Software (JIRA); Scripting Languages (Python and Qutils) and Programming Languages (JSL and C/C++); Laboratory Equipment (BIOPAC, Instron, and Keyence Microscope); and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, OneNote).
Post the following in the “Qualifications (Internal)” Field:
Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a closely related engineering field of study with an academic or industrial background in: (i) creating and defining systems requirements including design, development, test methodologies, validations, risk analysis, documentation, system specification and input/output process improvements; (ii) designing and executing experiments utilizing DOE (Design of Experiments); and (iii) Utilize tools and applications including: Engineering Design software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD); Statistical Analysis Software (Minitab, SAS, and/or JMP); Design Simulation software (MATLAB, PSpice, and/or LabVIEW); Issue Tracking Software (JIRA); Scripting Languages (Python and Qutils) and Programming Languages (JSL and C/C++); Laboratory Equipment (BIOPAC, Instron, and Keyence Microscope); and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, OneNote). An EOE 40 Hrs./wk. (8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M.); $85,300 - $128,000 per year. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
