Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to our customer's Program Protection Plan (PPP) initiative. A successful candidate will have background in Navy major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems programs and significant expertise in risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities related to program protection, including cybersecurity threats and potential adversarial actions.
Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Collaborating effectively with program managers, engineers, and security personnel to integrate protection measures into system design and development processes.

Conducting comprehensive threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, and other analyses to support informed decision-making and maintain the integrity of defense programs.

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies while enhancing the resilience of systems against potential threats.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or ten (10) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the contract, including the qualifications below.

Ten (10) years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic, platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), cyber, and/or fire control systems program, with five years’ concurrent experience as a team leader performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements and top level designs and/or system architectures for software intensive systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving platform, weapon, combat, C2, cyber situational awareness, and fire control systems for Navy and Joint warfighting capabilities.

Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience working as a Computer Systems Analyst planning ways to use computers to solve scientific and engineering problems. Four of these years must have been full-time experience at the system level in any of the following areas: requirements definition, system design parameters, concepts operation, risk assessment, producibility studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, post-delivery support.
