ADI’s Medical Products Group is looking for a Senior Applications Engineer, who will be a technical resource responsible for triaging complex customer complaints and providing advanced support to Level 1 and Level 2 teams in the Remote Patient Monitoring space. You will be part of an impactful team of thinkers and doers where drive + curiosity is encouraged & rewarded.
To succeed in this fast-paced environment, you’ll be comfortable diagnosing and resolving issues that span embedded systems, hardware, and cloud software. You’ll coordinate efforts with other advanced support teams (hardware, software, firmware), maintaining a proactive and efficient approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution. This role demands a strong technical foundation, hands-on skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary technical lead for triaging complex customer complaints, performing in-depth diagnostics and root-cause analysis of issues related to embedded systems, hardware, and cloud software. Documenting findings and suggesting solutions.
- Work closely with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, providing advanced troubleshooting guidance and clear, effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional support teams, such as software, systems engineering, and manufacturing teams, to expedite the resolution of technical issues.
- Relay insights and actionable feedback to product development, quality, and regulatory teams to drive continuous product improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to and maintain detailed technical documentation and knowledge base articles for use by support teams.
- Train and mentor L1/L2 teams & junior engineers on product troubleshooting techniques and procedures, helping to improve technical skill levels and responsiveness.
Qualifications and Must-Have Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical support, systems engineering, or applications engineering role, ideally within the medical devices or another regulated industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with embedded systems, hardware, and cloud-based software, with the ability to conduct independent troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostics.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for support teams. Comfortable in dynamic work environments, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to be in-person at ADI’s Wilmington, MA campus for at least 75% of the time
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with remote patient monitoring or connected devices involving wireless communication, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IoT device management.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python) for test automation or diagnostics.
