As a Senior Test Engineer you will join an Agile team. You will be responsible for carrying residential solution products such as WiFi residential gateways/access points and Optical Networking Units (ONUs) thru all product lifecycle stages. This includes conception, design, development, debugging, release to manufacturing, and post-release support.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop test cases, both manual and automated, in test management system (Polarion)

  • Configure and maintain test environments according to the development requirements 

  • Document and track defects in test management system 

  • Execute tests with the goal to release hardware and software in a defined time and quality metric 

  • Perform and assist in high-level and low-level test pipeline design

  • Assist in reproduction of field issues in Adtran labs and collaborate with Customer Support to ensure excellent customer experience 

  • Work with Product Management and Customer Support to exchange ideas and information vital for the product’s success

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required. 

  • 5+ years of professional experience is required. 

  • Experience with network sniffers and analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump) 

  • Experience with Linux networking stack and interfaces  

  • Excellent knowledge of Python and Bash scripting 

  • Knowledge of test frameworks such as qTest, Pytest, Robot Framework 

  • Strong testing skills 

  • At least B2 English proficiency level 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, IP protocols including DHCP and DNS, Datacom technologies, L2, and L3 protocols, Ethernet switching, IPTV, IGMP, IPV6, SFP modules, networking protocols, WiFi technology, OpenWRT, Open Sync, Linux embedded system development and debugging, Linux kernel drivers, TR69, CWMP, FTTx, GPON, XGSPON, DOCSIS 

  • Familiarity with WiFi (IEEE 802.11) protocols and standards 

  • Familiarity with PON (ITU-T G.983, ITU-T G.984, IEEE 802.3ah, IEEE 802.3av) protocols and standards 

  • Networking certificate recognized in the industry (Cisco CCNA/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent)
