Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Swap Trader with expertise in the Latin America (LATAM) markets to join our trading team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the swaps market within LATAM, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of successful trading in this region. The Senior Swap Trader will be responsible for managing and executing swap trades, developing trading strategies specific to LATAM, and contributing to the overall profitability of the trading desk.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage swap trades in LATAM markets, including SS Swaps, Index, Custom Baskets, IBOV Futures, Doll Futures, Xccy, etc.
- Develop and implement trading strategies tailored to LATAM market conditions to maximize profitability while managing risk.
- Monitor LATAM market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities.
- Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and risk management teams to optimize trading strategies and manage portfolio risk.
- Maintain and build relationships with counterparties, brokers, and other market participants within LATAM.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies specific to LATAM markets.
- Prepare and present regular reports on trading performance, market analysis, and risk management with a focus on LATAM.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior traders and analysts, particularly in understanding LATAM market dynamics.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in swap trading, with a focus on LATAM markets.
- Strong understanding of LATAM financial markets, derivatives, and risk management principles.
- Proven track record of successful trading and strategy development in LATAM.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
