Who We Are
“The Desk” drives critical components of Wayfair’s supplier support strategy - our team members serve as the external ambassadors who support the supplier-partners that feed Wayfair’s vast assortment, and leverage internal partners to execute our strategic vision of offering best-in-class support to an ever-growing supplier base. We are a positive, energetic, and diverse team that enjoys working directly with suppliers to provide best-in-class service and create a more seamless experience when they work with our commercial platform and tools.
As a senior associate on the Desk, you will work at the core of E-commerce: operating at the intersection between customers, suppliers, and technology! More specifically, in this role, you’ll manage a team of associates, engage with suppliers, and push aspects of our strategic agenda with cross-functional partners. You will be expected to lead initiatives that enable us to achieve our vision and produce measurable outcomes, problem-solve with business stakeholders and tech partners alike, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and monitor service metrics. Senior associates on the Desk must be able to coach a team of direct reports to achieve well-defined results, while also being effective executors themselves.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a team of 4-6 direct reports responsible for providing best-in-class support and enabling Wayfair’s most impactful suppliers to continue raising the bar
- Own projects related to OKRs, scoping and leading end-to-end execution of strategic projects focused on process, service quality, and operational improvement
- Help your team navigate various levels and departments within Wayfair to connect with the appropriate teams, identify a root cause, and reach resolution.
- Extract and communicate relevant insights and learnings with stakeholders to create a shared understanding around supplier concerns
- Develop positive and productive relationships with cross functional teams, acting as a strong representative of our team internally, as well as suppliers’ internal advocate within Wayfair
What You’ll Need
-
- 3+ years in a corporate environment; experience with ecommerce, program management, project management, or support work is a plus
- People management skills and the ability to coach, direct, and advise direct reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with external and internal stakeholders at a variety of levels
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to read and interpret a variety of data sets
- Innovative problem-solving skills to dissect and determine root causes of problems and influence cross functional partners to implement solutions
- A track record of taking on challenges and delivering despite obstacles and limited resources
- A positive can-do attitude to execute against an array of initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, highly motivated self-starter, and extremely organized
