The strategist for Growth supports the EVP in project management of all new business workstreams and pitch activity, and research for outreach. This role is critical for ensuring all deliverables are met in a timely and effective manner. They play a key role in development of outreach management, RFI submissions, preparing relevant research and insights, and coordinating the pitch process across multiple teams and stakeholders. They will work closely with senior leadership across the organization (and other COEs).
Detailed responsibilities:

  • Work with Growth lead to identify outreach opportunities and contacts
  • Manages pitch teams, the pitch process & timeline, along with all associated logistics
  • Play key role in RFI development, provide strategic input in developing tailored responses
  • Manage database of new business materials: RFP answers, corporate data, client lists, leadership bios, case studies
  • Leverage agency tools and internet to develop brand insights and competitive research
  • Manage calendars and set up key pitch meeting dates
  • Assist with pitch presentation development, particularly credential presentations and case studies
  • Help ensure relevant trade publications are up to date on Horizon’s corporate data (new business wins, billings, etc)
  • Prepare new business activity reports (status) for senior management
  • Work with design team (Treehouse) to facilitate timely design of all pitch content

Who You Are

  • Must be a self starter and motivated to grow the Next business
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and thrive on managing multiple projects
  • Able to multitask while exhibiting great attention to detail
  • Must have strong intrapersonal skills, and be confident in managing talent of diverse seniority to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, such as trade journals, research reports, white papers and cross-tabulated survey data.
  • Ability to write business briefs, case studies and general business correspondence.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, ‘remain calm amidst chaos’
  • Strong people skills
  • Must be deadline-oriented

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in new business / business development capacity
  • 2+ years of experience in media strategy
  • MS Office, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail/Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Interest in marketing, advertising and/or media
  • Flexibility with work hours – late nights and/or weekends may be necessary

Salary Range

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.
