JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Responsible for the technical administration and support of production storage systems and services. Participates in the development and implementation of high-performance, high-availability, and enterprise-class storage strategy and data life cycle management processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions.
· Continuously monitor storage performance and capacity, analyzing trends to forecast future needs and optimize resource allocation.
· Implement and manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
· Collaborate with the security team to establish and enforce data security policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
· Identify and resolve storage-related issues promptly, providing support for incident management and root cause analysis.
· Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, processes, and policies.
· Work closely with other IT teams to support application and database storage requirements, contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives.
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior storage administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or combination of education and experience.
· Five years of experience in storage administration, preferably within a financial services environment.
· Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
· Proficiency in storage management tools and monitoring software.
· Experience with data backup and recovery solutions, including disaster recovery planning.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking sector.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
