We are looking for passionate and thoughtful product designers to help our members and push our design systems to a best-in-class standard. The Credit Karma Product Design team evolves through collaboration, reflection and innovation. We're always looking for ways to do better for our users and ourselves.
What you will do:
- Lead the evolution of Credit Karma's visual language, partnering directly with executive leadership to shape and drive the vision
- Create compelling concepts and prototypes that demonstrate potential future directions for our design system and product experience
- Transform high-level direction into concrete implementation plans and execution roadmaps for our design systems team
- Identify opportunities to innovate on our component libraries, design tokens, and tooling
- Set the standard for visual design quality from component-level details to full user flows while balancing brand expression with platform best practices
- Partner with brand design to ensure our product design system thoughtfully incorporates brand elements
- Coach other designers on visual design craft and design systems thinking
- Research emerging platform patterns and technologies to inform system evolution
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years product design experience with deep expertise designing consumer native app
- 5+ years design systems experience
- Exceptional visual and graphic design capabilities
- Strong understanding of brand design principles and application
- Advanced knowledge of Figma, including plugins, design tokens, and component architecture
- Deep familiarity with iOS and Android platform patterns and evolution
- Experience presenting to and influencing executive stakeholders
- Track record of driving alignment across differing viewpoints and preferences
- Proven ability to translate high-level vision into detailed specifications
- Portfolio demonstrating range in visual exploration and systematic thinking
What we would like to see:
- Ability to prototype your ideas in code
- Experience evolving design systems at scale
- Background in fintech or consumer product design
- Experience building design tooling and automation
- Public speaking or writing about design systems

Pay Transparency Notice:
Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $330,000 - $357,939, plus equity and benefits.
