The Position:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes and reporting. The Senior Staff Accountant will take on a more strategic role, leading complex accounting projects and working closely with management to support financial decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Support and collaborate with the financial planning and analysis for budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Review and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Evaluate and improve existing accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial and operational objectives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Handle special projects and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Experience working with 3rd party accounting teams to support international entities and consolidations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- CPA certification strongly preferred or progress toward certification.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a SaaS or tech-related company environment.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Familiarity with data analysis and financial modeling.
- Ability to implement and streamline accounting procedures.

Compensation:
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected base salary range for this role in the selected city:
New York, NY - $109,000 - $137,000 USD
The base salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
