Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing test plans and executing test cases to ensure LNW’s electronic gaming machines (EGMs) can be integrated and interoperate with third party host systems to meet functional requirements, technical standards, market requirements, and maintain overall high-quality products.  Interface with software development, game/OS SQAs, and other stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.  Collaborate with third party host system vendors, customers, and accredited testing facilities to establish interoperability requirements and testing criteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with third party host system vendors to gather interoperability requirements.

  • Develop test strategy and test criteria to ensure slot machine products meet communication standards and interoperability requirements

  • Develop and execute test cases

  • Log defects and report status to project stakeholders

  • Work closely with other teams to ensure products are released on schedule with quality

  • Support field issue recreation, root cause analysis, and resolution.

Training and/or Experience:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in Software Testing.

  • Experience with casino slot machine software testing is desired.

  • Experience with these slot machine communication protocols is desired: SAS, QCOM, X-Series, ASP, and G2S

  • Experience with third-party slot accounting host systems/applications is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in software quality testing and assurance with a very high attention to detail.

  • Gaming experience and exposure to gaming hardware and software.

  • Technical troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Working knowledge with Windows OS, Linux environment

  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment with a diversity of professional people

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience
