Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Specialist-Taxation to effectively manage GST audit, litigations and compliance of the Company .
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Independently engaging with tax authorities in the area of Indirect tax (GST/VAT/Other laws) with regard to Audit/Litigation,
- Drafting of replies/ appeals for submission to tax authorities.
- Representation before tax authorities in case of appeals/ assessments.
- Devising suitable strategy to mitigate/defend tax litigation.
- Drafting of suitable representation for tax advocacy before Govt.
- Maintaining tracker of tax litigation and updating to senior management from time to time.
Qualifications
Educational qualification: Chartered Accountant / LLB
Minimum work experience: 7 to 10 years relevant tax experience and exposure to international taxes
Skills & attributes:
Technical Skills
• Demonstrated technical strength and solid knowledge of taxation rules and compliance, showcasing expertise in understanding and navigating the regulatory landscape.
• Ability to lead the discussion before the tax authorities while defending tax positions of the company.
• Ability of articulate the legal provisions of the relevant laws, drafting of the appeals, handling overall litigation.
• Familiarity with accounting software packages, showcasing the ability to use and navigate relevant software tools for financial and tax-related processes.
Behavioural skills
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks.
• Guiding and managing teams with clear expectations, delivering timely performance evaluations, and investing in capability building.
• Building relationships and influencing continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication, effective explanation of impact analyses, and generating solutions for audit findings.

Finance
The Finance function at Dr. Reddy's goes beyond the traditional roles of monitoring costs, supervising accounting and creating reports. Deep into its digitalization transformation journey, the function works with all departments in the organization as a strategic partner and plays a major role in supporting management in its decision making.
The function is distributed globally and has business partnering teams allied to different business units as Controller and Planners. And, secondly distributed as multiple Centre of Excellence housed in Corporate office, such as treasury, Risk & Assurance, Taxation, Corporate Analytics, Investor Relations, GFRT and GBS.
