Senior Solution Architect

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Solution Architect you will be an expert in Electronic Patient Records (EPR) systems and deliver cutting-edge digital healthcare solutions, driving value for our clients, and ensuring seamless system integration within complex clinical environments.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of tailored solutions within the EPR ecosystem, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.
  • Provide architectural guidance, including system integration strategies, data flows, and performance optimisation, while adhering to compliance standards such as GDPR and NHS England guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Technical Design Authority for large complex EPR programmes.
  • Improving current IT infrastructure, optimising business operations for efficiency with an emphasis on knowledge sharing among partners/stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management and change control.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, understanding their strategic goals and offering innovative solutions to meet business and clinical objectives.
  • Partner with internal teams (engineering, sales, project management) to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Collaborate with sales, product teams, and subject matter experts to ensure bid responses align with client needs and company capabilities.

Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:Essential Requirements

  • Healthcare IT Expertise: Demonstrable experience working with EPR systems/modules, interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and clinical workflows.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of system integration, cloud platforms, APIs, and data security in healthcare environments.
  • Solution Architecture: Proven ability to design complex, scalable, and resilient solutions that align with client requirements.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of successful client engagements and stakeholder management.
  • Bid Writing: Experience in contributing to and writing bid responses, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including NHS compliance frameworks and GDPR.

Desirable Requirements

  • Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Technical/Scientific) or substantially equivalent experience.
  • Experience in working with NHS Trusts or equivalent healthcare providers internationally.
  • Proven experience as a lead EPR Solution Architect or similar role.
