Senior Software Test Engineer, Innovation

Suvoda is seeking a curious, innovative, testing domain expert to join our Innovation Team. Suvoda’s Innovation Team is focused on helping to reimagine how we deliver work, streamline our processes, and improve our flexibility and efficiency while still maintaining the quality, on-time delivery, and excellent service our customers have come to expect. As a member of the cross-functional innovation team, you’ll partner with other talented members of Suvoda’s team to pilot new tools, brainstorm new ideas, and put new innovations to the test while serving as a senior software test engineer on projects. While balancing the need for risk management, quality, and compliance, you’ll help to discover new ways of delivering work in the services organization. The ideal candidate will:
- Have an in-depth understanding of the testing domain, with proven experience in using your knowledge to drive efficiency, agility, and quality
- Be curious and analytical, able to break down complex problems and systems into clear root causes and smaller, manageable pieces
- Be a strong collaborator who has proven successful working with other roles and other departments to solve problems and accomplish goals
- Bring a fresh perspective, leveraging a wealth of outside experience and different ways of working while understanding the core drivers behind our own internal processes
- Strike a balance between trying new things and exploring new ideas, while managing the risk around the testing of patient-safety critical software
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct functioning of clinical trial software with focus on patient safety and integrity of clinical study data
- Verify that requirements are clear, testable, and consistent with the clinical trial protocol
- Ensure all activities and deliverables comply with Suvoda processes and procedures
- Develop validation plans according to a risk-based testing methodology
- Author and/or manage the completion of all validation related deliverables on each project
- Author and execute test scripts
- Document defects and track resolution
- Perform other related duties as required
- Can serve as ‘Lead Project Tester’ on a project and have the additional responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all testing tasks on a new study build or change control
- Oversee days to day project tasks of software testing team members assigned to the project
- Serve as main point of contact for all testing-related requests and questions on a project
- Ensure on-time delivery of assigned new study builds with a focus on quality and risk management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in software testing in a regulated field preferred
- Experience following Agile Scrum methodology
- Experience creating automated tests or working with automation tools preferred
- Experience utilizing and configuring Jira preferred
- Accommodate quarterly travel to Suvoda Headquarters in Conshohocken, PA
- Experience continuously improving Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and procedures
