Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain tests (functional, sanity, system) using Java
- Build end to end tests to test the product as a whole
- Work in an agile environment with CI/CD
- Maintain, and improve our test automation framework.
- Troubleshoot problems (root cause analysis) and report defects in JIRA.
- Participate to the technical aspects of the software solution through the full development lifecycle (including requirements, design, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance, training and support).
- Oversee regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionalities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the best test strategies.
- Play an active role in daily scrums, weekly grooming sessions, etc.
- As a QA subject matter expert (SME), document and implement the test strategy
- Conduct test case reviews to ensure high quality.
Qualifications
Number of Years of Work Experience: 4-7 years software industry experience
Required Skills
- Experience working as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer or equivalent position
- Experience working with Java
- Background executing and analyzing both manual and automated test suites
- Proficiency with both client and server automation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to focus and complete tasks on time
- Strong team player
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems quickly and creatively
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient
Preferred Skills
- Good scripting experience e.g. bash, shell, python
- amiliarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations (ISO 26262, ASPICE) is an advantage.
- Proficiency with tools commonly used in the software development life cycle, such as version control systems, issue tracking systems, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Microsoft Azure Cloud knowledge
- Hands-on experience with the "container ecosystem" e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience working with databases (e.g.: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Unix/Linux OS and networking knowledge
Education
- Bachelor University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
