We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineering Manager to build and lead a world-class team as we develop the next generation of enterprise cybersecurity solutions.

As a key leader in our Bucharest development center, you’ll drive engineering execution, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, DevOps, Support, and Business Operations. This is a high-impact role for an experienced technical leader passionate about building scalable, high-performance software teams in a fast-moving, security-focused environment.

What you will be doing, your legacy: Leadership & Team Growth

• Build and scale a high-performing engineering team to deliver innovative SaaS security solutions.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers and technical leaders, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and excellence.
• Empower teams with autonomy while ensuring alignment with business and product goals.

Engineering Execution & Technical Strategy

• Lead the execution of strategic product initiatives, translating business priorities into well-defined engineering roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to refine requirements, scope features, and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, scalability challenges, and performance bottlenecks before they impact customers.

Operational Excellence & Scalability

• Drive best practices in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software development to ensure high-quality, reliable releases.
• Improve development workflows, optimize resource allocation, and eliminate bottlenecks to accelerate delivery.
• Implement scalable architectures and cloud-native solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Support, ensuring smooth collaboration and execution.
• Advocate for engineering-driven initiatives that enhance reliability, security, and scalability.
• Own and report on technical risks, execution challenges, and team growth needs.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence through coaching, best practices, and cutting-edge tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, security, and developer productivity.
• Champion modern software development practices, including DevSecOps and AI-driven automation.

What you bring:

• Proven leadership experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams (20+ engineers).
• Deep expertise in DevSecOps, SDLC, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  Strong background in enterprise software development, cloud-native and SaaS concepts. 
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and enterprise security (highly desirable).
• Familiarity with Big Data, LLM, and ML based systems

Location:  Onapsis is establishing a new development center in Bucharest. This is a hybrid role, so candidates must be commutable to Bucharest.
