Senior Software Engineer

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
- Be an active member of a scrum team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development and code reviews.
- Develop software components based on requirements, architecture, and design specifications.
- Work with fellow software engineers, software architects, quality (QA) engineers, full-stack developers, and other engineering/development team members to design and build required systems.
- Coordinate and communicate with clinical analysts, product analysts, quality analysts, and other software engineers.
- Ensure Solventum applications integrate with 3rd party vendor software required to deliver the required solutions to Solventum customers.
- Adhere to team design and coding procedures and standards.
- Contribute to Security and Risk assessments to aid in the deployment of application components in Production.
- Help resolve escalated customer support issues.
- Interact with customers to resolve operational problems and determine customer requirements.
- Actively participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards complies with corporate policies and procedures, and act in a manner consistent with Solventum’s values and ethical standards.
Your Skills and Expertise
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- High school Diploma/ GED AND 10+ years of software engineering experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Proficient in C#, Java or similar OO languages.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with REST API and service-oriented development
- Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (AWS).
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
- Strong understanding of RDBMS (MS SQL & MySQL).
- Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures is a plus.
- Experience in the following stacks: Java/Spring Boot and or .Net Core.
- Experience with .Net Classic w/C#.
- Experience with SQL Server administration and T-SQL.
- Experience in AWS skills: ECS, EKS, MSK (or managed Kafka) and Storage Service (i.e. S3, RDS, & Dynamo).
- Experience with source control tools such as Git, etc.
- Solid understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns.
- Experience developing and delivering commercial enterprise software.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with strong test automation and continuous deployment.
- Health Information Systems experience in an IT, Software Engineering, Software Development role.
- Experience with healthcare data interchange standards like HL7v2 and/or FHIR.
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
- Ability to speak and write English fluently and idiomatically.
