The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a motivated Senior Software Developer to join our growing program comprised of multiple agile development teams supporting a test and integration effort. You will work together with end users, stakeholders, and your teammates in a fast-paced environment, while supporting the creation of mission critical applications. The Senior Software Engineer will support a test and integration effort and will be responsible for developing tools to deploy and troubleshooting the latest government furnished software and hardware components. They will support OEM/Gov't debugging and RCA of reported issues. They will be using DevSecOps principles as part of integration and testing activities. This position reports on-site in Huntsville, AL. These solutions or products may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge in order to design, develop, and support software components embedded within them.
Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, operating, and maintaining software, firmware components, and computing systems software

• Apply the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system life cycle to support the generation of multi-disciplinary solutions and products.

• Formulate and issue systems documents, processes, procedures, and milestones.

• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

•Review test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, for both Government and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports

•Review and evaluate system performance against specification requirements.
Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University or equivalent experience substituted in lieu of education

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in one or more of the following areas, with preference towards candidates whose work experience includes DOD projects:

  • Experience developing software for complex software systems or embedded systems. Preference towards those with experience working with virtualized or containerized software systems for embedded system application.

  • Experience developing requirements, documentation, and design for complex or embedded software systems.

  • Experience deploying software updates to systems and troubleshooting issues encountered during build checkouts.

  • Experience working with configuration management systems and tools (Subversion, GIT, Atlassian, etc..)

  • Experience deploying software updates to systems and troubleshooting issues encountered during build checkouts.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles/processes

  • Integration or Testing experience with a preference towards candidates with experience in automated/ scripted testing

  • Experience developing requirements, documentation, and design

  • Familiarity with standard DoD System Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$109,400 - $240,700
