Senior software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

   •        Serve as a senior software engineer for a product that captures real-time telemetry data from various industrial systems.

   •        Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software products.

   •        Encourage and advocate for best practices in building reliable, scalable applications.

   •        Monitor and support developed software to ensure reliability and performance.

   •        Deliver dependable, impactful products in a timely and responsible manner, contributing to business success.

As part of a small, dedicated team, your primary task will be to ensure seamless integration of vessel sensors, enabling data such as speed, flow meter readings, location, and more to reach the shore. This data is critical for enabling intelligent decisions about vessel operations, optimizing efficiency, and enhancing overall performance.

Minimal Qualifications

   •        Experience: At least 6+ years of experience in developing successful products in the industry.

   •        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.

   •        Technical Expertise:

        •   Proficient in Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 6/.NET 8, C#, and related development ecosystems (compilers, build tools, testing, logging, debugging, monitoring tools, libraries, etc.).

        •   Skilled in GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure DevOps.

   •        Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels across the organization.

   •        Soft Skills:

        •   Strong focus on quality.

        •   Resilient team player with a goal-oriented mindset and a high level of commitment.

        •   Thrives in an international, collaborative environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse personalities and work styles.

   •        Problem Solving: Skilled in handling support incidents and resolving issues effectively.

Desirable Qualifications

   •        Industrial Communication:

        •   Experience with protocols and interfaces like OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP.

        •   Programming skills in serial communication, MODBUS, TCP/IP, socket communication, etc.

   •        Signal Processing:

        •   Familiarity with industrial devices, signal processing, and client/server programming.

        •   Experience debugging and troubleshooting using signal simulators.

   •        Data Processing:

        •   Proficiency in real-time data processing and storage.

        •   Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

   •        Cloud Solutions:

        •   Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.

   •        Algorithmic Skills: Proven ability to solve complex algorithmic problems.
