We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Software Developer Engineer who is ready to drive the future of mobility with us! 

Interested in developing bleeding edge audio and AI solutions? Cerence ai’s technology is used in 500+ million cars today. The position will contribute to make those technologies available through a convenient and uniform software product that can be deployed easily to various customer platforms. To support our software engineering team in this process we are looking for a senior software developer, with a proven expertise in large scale C++ embedded automotive software development.

Your Impact

  • Development and extension of our existing embedded platform products
  • Maintenance and bug fixing of existing modules.
  • Coordination of the integration and rollout of changes to the different products
  • Support the Cerence development processes in all its aspects, (involving e.g. design, development, tests, documentation, reviews, bug analysis)

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with C++ development in embedded systems, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges and resource constraints in embedded automotive systems.
  • Experience with Python or a strong willingness to quickly get up to speed with it.
  • Organized, solution-driven mindset with a proactive approach to tasks, always willing to take ownership and go beyond the basics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a team of passionate software developers.
  • Solid understanding of software integration, version control (e.g., Git), and branching workflows.
  • Good knowledge of system integration to ensure a cohesive architecture across components.
  • Security-conscious mindset with awareness of potential software vulnerabilities and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to engage in technical discussions.
