You will be part of a team contributing to our core customer systems, financial crime and other key functions of the domain.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be an integral member of our Wealth and Private domain, that will help customers meet their Insurance and Financial Advice needs. You will provide core technology and domain expertise to inform technical strategy and be responsible for the design of solutions for complex challenges within a business unit. You’ll have a strong risk mindset and take security from the first line of code approach. You will guide those around you to invest in their own engineering craft and mentor them to build world class applications.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
- Have passion for developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage
- Are ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks
- Have experience with the Full-cycle development and delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on the following: Building tools in .NET
- Contributes to a culture where quality, excellence and openness are championed and works well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Have natural drive to educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups
- Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems
Skills Required:
This is a highly technical role, requiring a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. You’ll be a good match if you have previous experience in:
Building applications both on-premise and in cloud (AWS) environments. You will be language agnostic full stack Engineer with particular strength in:
- Frontend: React, Angular
- Backend: .NET
- Database: Experience with SQL and NoSQL experience (both admin and usage)
- CI/CD tooling (Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) or equivalent
- AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
- Build, Run and Maintain on-going application health and exceed SLA and SLO targets
- Observability tools such as Observe, PagerDuty, Grafana
- Infrastructure as Code practices and principles
- Automating repetitive tasks using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, etc
- Decomposing complex problems down into manageable components
- Reviewing proposed code changes and recommending alterations
- Able and willing to participate in hands-on configuration activities
