Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer you should have experience with:

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and lead on the team to align possible solutions with business requirements. 
• Determine effort estimates for units of work. 
• Take full ownership of the new features under development and take responsibility for timely, high quality delivery. 
• Participate in Level 3 production support. Carry out root cause analysis of issues and demonstrate creative tenacity to find solutions working with the support group. 
• Gain and maintain knowledge of the salesforce platform functionality and related technologies to continue to contribute to design and functional aspects of projects. 
• Work closely with other team members in a globally-distributed team .
• evelopment expertise in Apex Classes, Trigger, Async apex (Batch, Scheduler, Queueable, future) experience, SOQL, SOSL expertise.
• Must have salesforce.com admin expertise in Profile, permission sets, flows, Sharing settings.
• Expertise in creating Lightning Web Component that are extensible and reusable.
• Expertise in debugging and exposure to coding best practices.
• Must have Devops knowledge.
• Ability to lead the team, perform code reviews, resolve security vulnerabilities etc.
• Agile methodologies, Hands-on knowledge of JIRA, sprints etc.
• Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be proactive, a team player and have a can-do attitude.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Nice to have salesforce certifications.
• Nice to have familiarity with Salesforce Automation tools.
