Senior BI / Data Analyst - Job Description

Job Location:  Ramanujan IT Park Chennai / ITPL Whitefield - Bangalore

Job Description

Light & Wonder is seeking a highly motivated, full-time BI Tool Analyst. The ideal candidate would be reliable, personable, and team oriented. This position will work with stakeholders to develop and build reports with supporting data models and measures leveraging a variety of tools to facilitate data insight conversations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business/domain experts to understand the questions they have on their data

• Leverage BI tools - Incorta, BODS & BO to extract and manipulate data from a variety of diverse sources and develop dashboards/reports using this data.

• Perform analysis on datasets to understand data structure and possible metrics/visuals to answer business questions

• Work as part of a larger visual analytics team partaking in collaboration and assisting others when needed

• Genuine interest in visual analytics and openness to learn new tools in an ever-changing space

Qualifications

• Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to multi-task, deal effectively with ambiguity, change in business requirements, and self-prioritize under pressure

• The ability to understand business questions/pain points and alleviate with supporting data

• Experience working with and extracting data from multiple sources (Oracle, SQL Server, CSV and Postgres)

• Strong data transformation and reporting skills using Incorta, BODS and BO respectively

• Understanding of visual communication best practices, and application to design choices

Skillset Required:

• 4 to 6 years of experience

• Should have hands on experience in INCORTA

• SAP BODS (ETL Tool) & BO Knowledge would be an added advantage

• Should be good in SQL

Nice to Have

• Experience with integration to Oracle EBS

• Experience in PowerBI

• Good understanding of dimensional modeling and relational databases

• Some creative/design skills are a plus

• Genuine interest in visual analytics and openness to learn new tools in an ever-changing space
