You will join the Stratos team, a multi-disciplinary group within the Client 360 Program consisting of six software engineers. Our team develops strategic microservices and applications using the latest technologies to support key processes across the bank, such as KYC and Deal Pipeline, impacting thousands of bankers every day.

We embrace a DevOps mindset and modern engineering practices, including Trunk Based Development. You will contribute to all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery. Regular engagement with collaborators both within tech and the business is a key part of this role.

The team operates with a high level of autonomy, and you will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and the wider technology community.

Your key responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing complex software solutions: Developing high-quality, scalable and maintainable code while contributing to the architecture and design of large software systems
  • Collaborative development to maintain a high performant team
  • Working with cross-functional teams across the client 360 program
  • Optimizing performance and scalability
  • Embracing a DevOps mindset – contributing to a culture of automation
  • Staying current with emerging technologies – endeavor to innovate for the optimization of the team

Your skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Multiple Programming Languages – Currently we use Kotlin, Java and Typescript but are open to new technologies as required
  • Frameworks and Technologies: Experience with frameworks such as Node.js, Next.js, Spring Boot, and Ktor
  • Deep understanding of Software Architecture and Design patterns – enabling the creation of scalable and high performance systems with caching, load balancing etc.
  • Experience with DevOps Practices – Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code
  • Leadership Potential: Ability to mentor junior team members and potentially take on leadership roles in the future.
  • Expertise in Agile and Modern Engineering practices
