Job Description

As a Senior software engineer you will help your team develop cutting-edge tech products that enable e-commerce business for everyone. Your work will be a part of the growing list of Flextock products that are continuously tailored, designed and developed for a tech-enabled fulfillment and an e-commerce service. Working with other team members to deliver the highest quality output.

We are looking for a Senior software engineer to work the software development teams in Egypt, in the design and implementation of cloud-based applications. Candidates should have a good experience in cloud architecture and technologies.

What you will be responsible for:

As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for delivering Flextock products according to the flextock products roadmap by architecturing, designing, and delivering high quality software features and also fixing any bugs, issues or improvements required to improve the products quality. You will also be responsible for growing the overall knowledge of your own squad and the global organization knowledge by actively working on documenting design, architecture and knowledge base articles.

You will:

• Be a part of a cross-functional software squad of 4 to 6 of software engineers, working in an agile and autonomous way to deliver your day-to-day activities.

• Participate and take role in the on-call and rotating monitoring 24x7 of our system security and reliability by all the team squad members.

• Implement the agile software development frameworks and the design, architecture processes to implement Flextock products roadmap.

• Take ownership of the tasks in hand, and work with the different stakeholders to understand, move forward and innovate the product development tasks to help solve the stakeholders problems by delivering what is needed when it is needed.

• Participate in our learning organization by actively sharing knowledge, writing knowledge articles, design documents, reviewing design documents and improving existing knowledge and processes.

• Work actively with the product team to prioritize and deliver the highest value tasks first to maximize our time usage.

• Help junior squad members and other squads in solving their day to day issues by actively doing problem solving with them.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software development.

• Very good experience developing cloud based applications using python based frameworks and/or Angular/React front-end frameworks

• Proven experience working with agile methodologies and frameworks

• Ability to write and review requirements, functional specifications, design specifications

• Experience in applying best design practices to build highly scalable cloud applications

Plus Requirements:

• Proven experience in the fulfillment and delivery tech industry

• Proven experience in Google Cloud

• Deep knowledge of using Django to build scalable back-end applications

• Deep knowledge of Angular to build front-end applications
