Senior Software Engineer in Test
Test Automation Engineering, Open API Platform
Overview:
The API Platform team is responsible for managing the Mastercard Developer Portal, and we are searching for top-tier talent to join our global software quality team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled QA automation engineer who is customer-focused and adaptable.
Unlike similar quality/testing roles elsewhere, this position requires a deep understanding of software development. You will work closely with developers and leads to build test scenarios, create test infrastructure, and perform code analysis to ensure top-quality development.

Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases for the Mastercard Developer Portal and other web-based applications.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure test cases cover all requirements.
- Work alongside the development team to resolve bugs and implement product enhancements.
- Create automated tests using Java.
- Deliver comprehensive testing reports.
- Communicate effectively through strong writing and verbal skills.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Java, CucumberJS, RestAssured, Postman, and BrowserStack.
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL (Oracle, Postgres).
- Experience with UX testing across various web browser versions.
- Ability to create detailed test plans, including test cases and test data.
- Strong automation and scripting skills.
- Proficiency in managing issues via bug tracking tools and clearly articulating defects to developers.
- A proactive approach to participating in the product development process, including proposing enhancements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
