Senior Software Engineer in Test (Mexico)

This role will be based remotely from Mexico City, working with our team in the United States. For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time. #LI-remote

This Opportunity
Truveta aims to make complex healthcare insights accessible to a broad spectrum of users. To realize this goal, we are looking for creative and capable user interface experts to build modern web-based product surfaces.
As part of an integrated, agile team, we are seeking software engineers specializing in test automation who:
- Will collaborate with other engineers, product designers and the company leadership to test and help build annotation and normalization tools as well as other web based applications.
- Will implement and test complex features such as text highlighting, tagging, and categorization within large paragraphs to facilitate data labeling for machine learning.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to understand the data annotation needs and translate these into effective software solutions.
- Determine and apply the right building blocks, test harnesses and processes that pave the way for continuous evolution of the experience.

Key Qualifications
Language and Education:
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in designing, coding, debugging, and test automation development.
- Expertise in web application testing using tools like Playwright for UX automation.
- Experience in testing and automation of REST services, particularly using C# and Python.
Development Skills:
- Ability to enhance product code for improved testability, contributing to fixes and overall code quality.
- Familiarity with web development using React and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Node.js services, especially within the NestJS framework.
- Experience in database systems like PostgreSQL (or similar).
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
Automation and Quality:
- Proficient in writing and managing test cases, test automation, and test harnesses for web applications as well as projects in C# and Python.
- Experience with quality reports that shows test passes, quality metrics and coverage.
- Proven track record of optimizing application performance for high-volume data handling without compromising user experience.
