We are looking for a well-rounded iOS software engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, coding and rolling out moderately complex native mobile applications.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, optimize performance and ensure the best user experience. You will join our RegTech engineering team that enables PayPal to operate across the globe and protects our business from money laundering activities.

You will report to a Senior Manager in the Regulatory Experience team, which operates under the Compliance domain. Our mission is to develop innovative KYC (Know Your Customer) and CIP (Customer Identification Program) experiences for both consumers and merchants at PayPal.

You’ll play a vital role in developing innovative CIP and KYC experiences that enhance compliance while prioritizing user satisfaction. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential for effectively sharing your findings with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders throughout the design process. By translating complex regulatory requirements into user-friendly solutions, you’ll help bridge the gap between compliance and customer experience. Your insights will guide strategic decisions and drive improvements, ensuring that both consumers and merchants benefit from seamless interactions. Ultimately, your contributions will be key to fostering trust and engagement in PayPal’s offerings.
Your Day to Day:
- Design, code and maintain native mobile components that directly provide core capabilities for PayPal.
- Collaborate in an empowered engineering team to develop extensible technical solutions for complex problems.
- Work with product management to formulate innovative solutions to improve customer success
- Make quantifiable improvements in engineering processes, quality and efficiency through automation, proper code abstraction and monitoring.
What You Need to Bring :
- 5+ years of experience in building high-quality iOS applications using Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Strong understanding of the iOS SDK, frameworks and development tools.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns and best practices.
- Skilled at writing Unit and automation tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers and backend developers, to define and implement new app features.
- Bring product and code improvement ideas to the team.
- Good knowledge of memory management and multi-threading.
- Experience with dependency management through Cocoapods.
- Participate in code reviews and writing technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with Git version control and agile development methodologies.
Nice to Have:
Fundamental knowledge of Objective-C
- Experience with CI/CD systems.
- Experience with Sonar code quality.
- Experience in RegTech or FinTech related domains
