The Platform Excellence team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) with passion for building great UX on mobile. The team is dedicated to delivering superior performance, reliability, and user experience on all platforms Roblox runs on. This team ensures a seamless and engaging user interface that facilitates intuitive interactions, alongside maintaining high performance and reliability for efficient, glitch-free operations. Innovation is at the core of our work, as we continuously enhance features and integrate cutting-edge technologies to find novel solutions to problems.
You Will:
- Bring a delightful experience on the Roblox iOS app used by millions of players.
- Drive the adoption of the latest platform(iOS), hardware and Gen-AI capabilities.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation on the iOS platform.
- Partner with product and design leaders to bring novel ideas to life.
- Bring in the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.
You Have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in client software development, with focus on mobile apps.
- Deep expertise with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development.
- Cross-platform development experience with C++ and hardware APIs is a plus.
- Experience with modern mobile architectures with very large codebases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Curiosity to learn new technologies and systematically grow your skills.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$192,890—$238,520 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
