Senior Software Engineer - iOS

Job Responsibilities:

CureMD’s iOS software engineers develop the next-generation products that change how healthcare users connect, explore and interact with information and one another. As an iOS software engineer, you’ll get to work on new products that will help thousands of American doctors, and collaborate with other teams to bring the most delightful and useful apps to life. You should be comfortable with Objective-C & Swift, and have extensive knowledge of iOS development techniques and practices.

Your role is essential in developing quality features that will add value and convenience for the doctors. CureMD’s Avalon department has a goal of transforming web based EMRs to mobile platforms. Any feature added to our product requires complete understanding of users’ requirements, data analysis, competitor’s analysis and design patterns that conform to user experience.

• Design & build fairly complex iOS mobile apps with background threads and databases.

• Provide highly reliable, scalable and reusable code using industry coding practices and standards to ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications.

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and collaborate with team(s) to define, design and ship new features.

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed design and architecture. Furthermore, translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code and ensure that designs are complied with the specifications.

• Participate in scoping and estimating exercises to ensure the proposed project deliverable is aligned with the hours necessary to execute.

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, fix bugs and help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

• Creating long term plans for navigating operating system upgrades, devices upgrades, and technological upgrades.

• Take ownership of app release lifecycle with AppStore.

• Take initiatives to automate user workflows and systems.

• Enhance software quality by using automated testing and techniques.

• Collaborate with other members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering

• 2 - 4 years of relevant development experience under Agile methodologies using iOS frameworks with strong concepts in Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOA&D), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and databases.

• Hands-on experience on Objective-C, Swift, JSON, storyboards, core data, RESTful services, Universal UI Designing (iPad & iPhone), Data Structure and iOS libraries.

• Experience with offline storage, threading, memory management, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

• Experience with 3rd party integrations, Firebase and secure development practices.

• Experienced in using XCode as a tool for iOS Development.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
