What you’ll do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join the NinjaTrader Web team. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing our core web applications. Your contributions will significantly impact the user experience, product roadmap, and overall business outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to the development, optimization, and infrastructure of NinjaTrader’s web-based application, building new features and maintaining existing ones
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate design prototypes into high-quality, scalable code that is pixel-perfect and adheres to NinjaTrader’s design system and branding guidelines
- Design and implement scalable, efficient web architecture, using cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud Platform)
- Develop and maintain real-time performance monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the front end remains responsive and high performing
- Ensure seamless integration of front-end components with backend systems, including account management tools and real-time market data feeds
- Collaborate with other engineering teams, QA, and Product Managers to deliver end-to-end customer solutions
What we look for:
- 5+ years of software development experience with modern web frameworks and technologies
- 3+ years of professional experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, frameworks (Next.js, Gatsby, Vite), backend technologies (Node.js, Express), and server-rendered & statically generated sites
- Strong working knowledge of modern web technologies, specifically REST and WebSocket with functional programming and reactive programming principles
- Familiarity with Yarn/NPM, Gulp, Webpack, and Electron for efficient development and packaging
- Experience with deploying applications in a cloud-based containerized environment
- Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and diagnostic skills for cloud and web-based technologies using industry-standard observability tooling and frameworks
- Dependable team player with strong work ethic, exceptional accuracy, and analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance analysis and optimization
- Ability to take full ownership of projects (design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, iterate), with a focus on delivering high-quality production software
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborates effectively, seeks feedback, and strives for continual improvement
Compensation:
The salary range for this role will be $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD annually. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of up to 12%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. Additional details on our total compensation package and benefits are listed below.

Location: This role is based in Chicago, IL.
