FactSet seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Quotes Distribution team to support and enhance the global Real Time Market Data systems. This role involves working on distributed, high-speed systems using Python, C++, and bash, primarily on Linux, with AWS deployments. Collaboration with engineers and product groups in the US, UK, and India is essential. Key responsibilities include improving distribution systems for international data, learning about global routing systems, and researching new technologies to boost performance and stability.
Responsibilities:

Plan and execute assigned tasks efficiently, taking initiative without needing guidance

Lead distinct engineering projects with less-defined problem definitions.

Contribute technically to design phases within your project area.

Act as a resource and collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teammates.

Communicate project developments effectively to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in software engineering.
Critical Skills:

Python and C++ language experience

Bash and Linux experience

Familiarity with object-oriented software design

Willing and able to be on call 5% of the time.

Education:
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00
